World Hockey Championship quarterfinalists defined

The last matches of the group stage of the World Hockey Championship were played on May 12. Finland and Russia fought for the second place in group B. Finland won after a series of penalty shots – 3:2. The Czech Republic defeated Switzerland after penalty shots in group A – 2:1.

The score is as follows now:

Group A: Canada — 21 points, Sweden — 16, Czech Republic — 15, Switzerland — 10, Germany — 7, France — 5, Latvia — 5, Austria — 5.

Group B: USA — 17, Finland — 16, Russia — 15, Belarus — 14, Slovakia — 9, Norway — 6, Denmark — 4, Slovenia — 3.

The quarter-finals will be played tomorrow, on May 14. Belarus and Canada will meet in Prague 02-Arena at 5.15 p.m. The match will be broadcast live on Belarus 1. Finland and the Czech Republic will play there at 9.15 p.m. The winners will make it to the semi-finals.

Čez Aréna, Ostrov: USA-Switzerland (4.15 p.m.), Russia-Sweden (8.15 p.m.). The winners will also make it to the semi-finals.

The final match will be played in Prague on Sunday, May 17.
