Vladislav Baumgertner gets TV-set, fridge in KGB prison

They hope to meet with their client today, interfax.by reports.

Baumgertner's lawyer Alexei Basistov said in comments to the Russian media that, in his opinion, the Uralkali CEO was likely to suffer from psychological pressure in the KGB detention center. Only Belarusian lawyers - neither relatives nor the lawyers he used to work with before - are allowed to meet. Since the Belarusian lawyers see the Russian citizen for the first time, they are unable to notice any changes in his behaviour, Basistov said.

The lawyers say that the date for the complaint about the restraint to be considered is yet to be known. The complaint will be considered in Minsk's Partizanski district court by Judge Natallia Pykina.

The Russian businessman was arrested on August 26. He is charged with abuse of power and official authority.
