Opposition activist fined $380 over Kurapaty protests

Minsk District Court on Tuesday awarded a fine of BYN735 (30 base amounts) to the co-leader of the committee to organize the Belarusian Christian Democracy party Vital Rymasheuski.
Rymasheuski publicly expressed his opinion about the restaurant “Poedem, Poedim” while standing nearby with a white-red-white flag, the BCD press service reports. The judge asked the politician whether he had been given permission to express his opinion and who had given it to him.
“This is all you need to know about Belarusian courts,” Rymasheuski commented on the judge’s statements.
