Azarenka defeated at Mallorca Open

Belarusian Victoria Azarenka has dropped out of the Spanish tournament Mallorca Open, BELTA reports.

The Belarusian tennis players (World No. 85) lost 3-6, 4-6 to Czech Lucie Šafářová (World No.53) in the 1/8 final on June 21

Azarenka defeated Swiss Stefanie Vögele (93) earlier 6-7 (4-7), 6-3, 7-5.

Azarenka and Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova have lost to Americans Kaitlyn Christian and Sabrina Santamaria in the doubles 2-6, 3-6.

Belarusian Lidziya Marozava is doing better at this tournament. She and Dutch Lesley Kerkhove defeated the Australian-Ukrainian duet of Anastasiya Rodionova and Nadezhda Kichanok in the ¼ final on June 21 6-7 (5-7), 7-5, 10-5.
