Ukraine's parliament approves Stepan Povtorayk as defense minister
245 members of Ukraine's parliament vote for Stepan Povtoryak's candidature proposed by president Petro Poroshenko.
Valeri Geletei was dismissed from the position earlier. Colonel General Stepan Povtoryak has become the fourth Ukrainian Minister of Defense this year. He used to command the Ukrainian National Guard and the internal troops of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs before.
