U.S. Department of State: Russia’s threat is comparable to Islamists’
Russia keeps supplying weapons to separatists even despite the ceasefire agreement in East Ukraine, the USA believes.
Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland claimed it at the U.S.-Central Europe Strategy Forum in Washington. “We need to help Ukraine defend itself but there is no military solution to the conflict if Russia decides to attack as the Russian Army will always be bigger,” UNIAN quotes Nuland.
The Assistant Secretary of State also compared Russia’s actions to the world terrorism threat of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. “We all have to work to make the Central European territory protected from terrorism and extremism,” Nuland stressed.
