Unknown man spits in ex-President's face
The incident happened in a square in the city of Arica, North of Chile.
During a pre-electoral event, an man of approximately 35 years of age spat in the face of presidential candidate Michelle Bachelet. He managed to scream out several slogans in support of the Chilean student movements and Indians, when the security guards hit him in the face, seized and handed to the police.
Michelle Bachelet led the country in 2006-2010. She has become the first female President in Chile. The presidential election in Chile is scheduled for November.
