Ukrainian semi-colonel recruited by Russian military intelligence

The soldiers tried to send secret information to the Russian intelligence, espreso.tv reports. The first traitor was recruited by the Russian GRU. He was detained when trying to leave for Crimea by Kiev-Simferopol train. A flash drive with secret schemes of the Ukrainian Army communication service was found on him.

A semi-colonel from the Ukrainian Armed Forces was detained by SBU members when trying to leave for Crimea in order to meet a Russian GRU curator. He was recruited in Feodosia in March.  The officer photographed secret documents with his cell phone. Some of the documents were about the designing of air drones.

Criminal cases have been started. The detained soldiers are facing up to 15 years of imprisonment.
