Ukraine stops water supplies to Crimea

The North Crimean Canal only provides Herson Oblast with water now, UNIAN reports referring to the Ukrainian State Water Resources Agency.

Crimea still owes 1.7 hryvnias for the water supplied in 2013.

The situation with water supplies in Crimea is critical as it needs water for irrigation now. The Crimean authorities are stealing water instead of trying to settle the issue with Ukraine, the Ukrainian President’s Administration said.
