Ukraine might bid for Winter Olympics
Ukraine's president Victor Yanukovich is considering a possibility of holding the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Karpaty in western Ukraine. He ordered vice prime minister Boris Kolesnikov to visit the Lvov region in order to carry out a feasibility study of this project. The Ukrainian news agency UNIAN notes that Olympics in Ukraine could foster the development of sports and tourism and to boost the country's international image.
