Two women to rule Germany?

According to German mass media, Ursula von der Leyen, the Minister of Labour and a mother of seven children, will most likely become presidential contender. The current President Horst Köhlerr resigned on Monday.
The elections of the German President will take place on June 30, reports “Deutsche Welle”.

51-year-old Christian democrat von der Leyen is in the first position on the list of coalition parties - CDU, CSU and FDP. She is Angela Merkel’s favorite and is considered to be the best Minister of Labour during the past years.

The other potential candidate is the 67-year-old Minister of Finance Wolfgang Schoible.
