On September 14, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin who is meeting Aliaksandr Lukashenka in Sochi.

"Whatever you sign and agree on during your meeting in Sochi will have no legal effect," Tsikhanouskaya wrote in her Telegram channel, stressing that all the agreements signed by Russia with "illegitimate Lukashenka" will be revised by a new government. She reminded Putin that "Belarusian people showed their mistrust in Lukashenka and refused to support him during the elections."

"I regret greatly that you have chosen to hold dialogue with the usurper and not with the Belarusian people," Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya wrote in the end.
