Tractor Belarus to set new world speed record – more than 100 km/h

This is the ambitious plan of our tractor’s modernizers – a Russian machine-building company “Bison”.
The company has turned the 25-year-old “Belarus” into a super tractor. One can hardly recognize the domestic machine – it has extreme looks and new insides.  They had to remake the machine completely. The press secretary of “Bison” Victor Demidov has informed ERB about it.

Victor Demidov: “The changes have affected the engines, transmission and fuel system – to cut it short, the tractor was dismantled”.

At the same time, according to the press secretary, no expansive details have been installed in the tractor. They used only “native” details that were technically modified.

Victor Demidov: “All the details are “native” Belarusian details. So to speak, we have worked on them a bit. The engine is Belarusian, the transmission is Belarusian and the carriage is Belarusian – everything belongs to “Belarus”.
The tractor exceeded the limit of 90 km/h at this year’s annual competition “Bison-Track-Show” on a soil track. The super machine’s creators are planning to speed it up to more than 100 km/h this year.

Victor Demidov: “We have tested it at this year’s races and it reached the speed of 90 km/h. We would like to conduct our own tests but it should be more than 100 km/h”.

It is worth noting that the previous record of the tractor races was 68 km/h. Regular tractors can reach the speed of 35 km/h.

It is not clear whether the modernization of the Belarusian tractor can be of any practical use but the creators of the tractor-bolide hope that it will be possible to use their modifications and know-how in industrial machine- building.

Victor Demidov: “We are hoping that we will be able to do something that could be used in machine-building”.
