Sweden is worried about democracy in Belarus

Sweden is really worried about democracy in Belarus. The representative of the country in the Council of Europe Per Sjögren claimed it. “Belarus and its democratic development are very important for the Council of Europe and Sweden”, - he said in an interview with BelaPAN. Per Sjögren commented on the list of OSCE parliamentarians to European government containing a suggestion to lower the price of Schengen visas for Belarusian citizens and confirmed that the issue fell within the competence of the EC. Nevertheless, he stressed that the Council of Europe “understood the importance of contacts between people, especially young people and supported it in all possible ways”.
