Supreme Court rejects appeal of Belarusian Christian Democracy

The Supreme Court of Belarus has rejected an appeal filed by the founders of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party against the Ministry of Justice's decision not to register the organization. Judge Valiatnsina Kulik said the Ministry of Justice's decision was legal, reports Radio Svaboda. Pavel Sevyarynets, a co-chairman of the party's organizing committee, said they would possibly gather the third founding congress in April-May.

The Supreme Court's ruling was witnessed by diplomats from the US and German embassies.
