Statkevіch: I will not do anything shameful
Maryna Adamovich, Milkoka Statkevich’s common-law wife, has received another letter from the KGB detention centre today. “Nasha Niva” informs that there is no doubt who is the author this time. "Mikola describes such details that only he could be aware of. This is his style and handwriting. We used to receive strange letters, if you remember. Everything is adequate this time”, - says Maryna Adamovich.
According to the letter, Statkevich really stopped his hunger-strike on January 12.
"He has written that he took the decision to stop the hunger-strike. He writes that the hunger-strike was very difficult due to his trauma. He does not know whether he was injured during the Square or afterwards. He also wrote that they had to use a medicine dropper”, - continues Maryna Mihailauna.
"He writes: "My evil organism has consumed most of my muscular system. To restore it, I have to do exercises”. It looks like at least some of the parcels did reach Mikola.
He has written that we should not worry about his psychological state. “I will not do anything shameful”, - says Ms. Maryna.
The letter was written on January 23 but they managed to send it only the next day.
