A skier died in the Mountain Skiing Complex "Silichy" on March 7. The guy was skiing together with his cousin. One of them fell. The cousin wanted to go round him, but ran into a fence, broke it through and hit the tree. He died of injuries. A source in the law-enforcement authorities has informed this to Euroradio.
One of the witnesses of this tragedy has described it at the forum extreme.by: "I was skiing today, I don't know whether it is true or not... Everything happened at about 20:15. Going down the track, I don't know which number it is - it goes through the exit and then further up to the elevator, I saw an employee who lifted the fence and asked me to wait for a while. I asked what happened and he answered that someone had been severely injured (many fractures), but he didn't know the details himself. Two minutes later a snowmobile arrived, there was a stretcher tied to it, a guy lied in it, and two more people sat nearby... I did not go closer to find out the details, they left to the doctors very quickly..."
According to the witnesses, the deceased and his cousin were drunk. However, the law-enforcement authorities refuted this information to Euroradio. The police are checking the circumstances of the accident.
