Russian gas supplies to Greece suspended

Supplies of Russian gas from Bulgaria to Greece stopped on Monday because of an accident in Bulgaria. According to some sources, an explosion caused by gas escape occurred at the Bulgarian gas pipe-line in the morning. There were no victims. 80% of gas used by Greece comes from Russia. The gas is transported through Bulgaria. The press service of the Ministry of Development of Greece dealing with gas supplies does not comment on the situation. The gas monopolist “Gazprom” doesn’t give any comments either.
