Russia keeps customs duties for Belarus vehicles

Russian has not abolished customs duties for the temporary import of Belarusian vehicles into the Russian territory, Belarus's first deputy minister of transport and communications Mikalai Verkhavets told reporters. Under the Belarus-Russia trade deal, Russia was obliged to cancel the duties by May 15.

According to Verkhavets, Belarus meets all its obligations under the deal. For example, Belarus ensures a free movement of goods from the Kaliningrad enclave to Russia. This country also reduced the number of alcohol-containing products that require escorting in Belarus.

Belarus abolished by May 15 the duties for the transit of Russian trucks and buses through Belarus, reports Interfax.
