Yermakova says IMF is ready to use new programme for Belarus

Natallya Yermakova says that the issue of launching the new programme lies in the sphere of politics.

Yermakova: "We have made a report about the situation in Belarus including the financial system and the achieved goals for the IMF recently. The IMF and those who we met respect the things Belarus has done in the last few years. They said that they would support us when a resolution on Belarus was adopted. It does not depend only on the IMF. There are member states. But we hope that common sense will win”.

The head of the National Bank is also sure that Belarus will be able to pay its current debt to the fund – 3.5 billion dollars.
