Yaraslau Bernikovich stands trial in Hlybokaye
The activist has been punished for putting up a tent during a picket.
Democratic activist Yaraslau Bernikovich has stood trial for a violation committed during a picket of solidarity with political prisoners on March 19 in Hlybokaye today, on May 5.
The head of Hlybokaye Court, Stanislau Trapuk, was in charge of the hearing. He has fined Bernikovich for 700 thousand rubles “for violating the law on mass actions”. He put up a tent during the picket which is forbidden by the law. Bernikovich has pled guilty but explained that he put up the tent because of bad weather.
