There have been no changes in the radioactive situation at the industrial ground of the Chernobyl NPP and in the alienation zone either. No one suffered", - states the message of the Chernobyl NPP's press-center.

The population has nothing to fear in connection with the incident at the Chernobyl NPP, informs Russia's Ministry for Emergency Situations.

We remind, the Chernobyl NPP accident happened on April 26, 1986. The fourth power block of the NPP exploded. Belarus, Russia and Ukraine suffered from the radioactive pollution. The people were evacuated.

After the accident, a protective envelope was built around the ruined block of the NPP. The protective envelope has been destroying lately. The Ukrainian authorities want to turn the Chernobyl NPP into a safe system with the help of the "Shelter" object, which will be a construction in the form of an arch, 105 meters high, 150 meters long and 260 meters wide.
