Two dozens protesters detained near Russian State Duma

The activists have protested against adoption of the amendments which prescribe stricter punishment for violations at demonstrations, in the second reading. RBC reports from the site of the events that the police are grabbing the people who are standing peacefully with the posters near the State Duma building, and are dragging them to the police vans. 

Apart from the members of the "Yabloko" party, several civil activists have been detained as well. The police have used physical force.

Mitrokhin has tried to explain to the police at the main entrance to the State Duma that the action is taking place in the form of the preliminary agitation before the picket dedicated to the same topic, and does not require the authorities' approval. However, the police have started force detentions some time later.
