Three people detained at Mahilyou action in support of Ales Byalyatski
One of the participants and two journalists have been detained.
An action in support of human rights defender Ales Byalyatski has taken place in Mahilyou today, on August 23. Seven democratic activists took part in it. Policemen have detained one of them and two independent journalists, informs BelaPAN.
The action participants were giving out leaflets containing information about Byalyatski to passers-by. The action took about 20 minutes. Almost all the leaflets had been given out when a policeman approached Pavel Varashylau and demanded to follow him.
Policemen detained independent journalists (BAJ members Alina Skrabunova and Yauhen Hlushkou) who did not take part in the distribution of leaflets later.
