"Tell the Truth" suggests naming a metro station in honour of Vasil Bykau
The campaign's activists plan to pass the collected signatures to the metro administration on Tuesday.
The campaign's representative Syarhei Vaznyak has informed this to Euroradio. Let us remind you, the city authorities announced that they wanted to know the Minskers' opinions on the names of the new metro stations of the third metro line. The campaign "Tell the Truth!" offered to name a metro station near the Jubilee Square in honour of Vasil Bykau.
Vaznyak: "Firstly, we have 40 thousand signatures which we collected last year, for naming one of the metro stations in honour of Vasil Bykau. Plus, when the city executive committee announced that they accepted offers, we started collecting signatures in the area of the Jubilee square. We think that there might be up to a thousand signatures".
Also, there is an opportunity to vote for Vasil Bykau's metro station online at the web-site of the "Tell the Truth!" campaign. Minsk city executive committee accepts offers till March 28.
