Poland's foreign minister does not rule out war with Belarus
Radoslaw Sikorski comments on former Polish defense minister Romuald Szeremietiew's statement.
Szeremietiew told reporters several days ago that Belarus and Russia prepare for a war with Poland. According to Szeremietiew, the planned military exercise codenamed by Belarus and Russia as West'2013 demonstrates their intention to attack Poland.
"We take it very seriously. The latest join exercise by Belarus and Russia in 2009 was clearly to provoke Poland. Back then, I wrote to NATO's Secretary General and NATO took a proper stance in this regard. The Polish troops will also take part in NATO exercises to take place in Poland this year. The army always gets ready for the worst, that is for war," Sikorski told the Polish television channel TVP Info.
