Only one teenager stopped at curfew in Minsk within five days?

Teenagers are prohibited to appear in the street by themselves after 11 p.m. since September 5. They should be accompanied by their parents, or some mysterious "adult person that they know". Otherwise their parents may be fined.

Policemen of the Zavodzki district department of internal affairs do not recall having stopped underage people at night. If they stop such a person, even accompanied by an adult, they will surely call his or her parents.

If a child is unaccompanied and the parents do not answer the phone, the police may address to the neighbours, asking about the family. The police have three hours to return a wandering around child back to the family.

"If the parents cannot arrive, for example, they are drunk or out of the city, we send the child to the social-pedagogical center", - they say in the Zavodzki district department of internal affairs.

If a child gets to the social-pedagogical center, the parents may be called to the commission on juvenile delinquency, warned, or fined for Br 200 thousand, for the first time, and for up to half a million - for the second time.

In Minsk, Euroradio found only one case when a teenager was stopped at curfew without parents, for the five nights of existence of this law. The parents were found soon.
