Lithuanian President stands against imposing hasty sanctions on Belarus
Dalia Grybauskaitė thinks they might push our country to one of the neighbours.
Alongside with that, Mrs. Grybauskaitė said that Lithuania had always supported sanctions against the regime, also because it had been a victim of an economic blockade conducted by the USSR at a time, informs DELFI.
Grybauskaitė also urged to release all Belarusian political prisoners. She noted that no other countries in Europe had them, and that Lithuania stood for immediate release of those who had been unfairly sentenced in Belarus.
