Lazavik: There are no resources to allow every candidate to speak 15 times

The United Civil Party is going to complain about the Central Election Commission to the General Office of the Public Prosecutor. The CEC has forbidden candidates representing other candidates to make speeches on TV and radio.

However, CEC secretary Miklai Lazavik is sure that the commission has not violated any laws.

Mikalai Lazavik: "The Election Code is meant to provide equal conditions for all candidates. Free air time, free articles in newspapers. If one candidate makes one speech, the others should also be allowed to do it. If one candidate makes 15 speeches, all the rest should also have an opportunity to make 15 speeches. But no broadcasting company can afford it, we should stick to the Election Code and provide equal opportunities for everyone".

Let us remind you that Anatol Lyabedzka represented UCP candidate Uladzimir Ramanouski in TV debates the other day. Anatol Lyabedzka is the party leader and his representative. He is also a deputy contender. The UCP thinks that the decision of the CEC is aimed at limiting the party leader's right to make speeches.

A question during TV debates: do you respect Yarmoshyna, have your heard about borsch? (video)
