Great Britain urges EU to impose new sanctions on Belarus

The British movement will continue urging the European Union to impose stricter sanctions on Belarus. It will be done in response to human rights violations, informs Radio Liberty referring to The Independent.

UK Foreign Minister William Hague has suggested imposing travel bans on Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s circle and freezing their assets at the meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Luxemburg.

The measures should also affect the business connected with the Belarusian regime. In particular, Uladzimir Peftsiyeu, also known as “Lukashenka’s banker”, is meant here.
