European Parliament votes for Croatia's joining the EU
564 MEPs voted for this decision, and 38 stood against.
The next step will be signing of the agreement on Croatia's joining the European Union. It will take place on December 8-9 at the session of the EU Council. After that, the agreement should be ratified by all 27 states-EU members.
Croatia is expected to become the 28th EU member in July 2013, news agencies inform.
