Construction of Minsk metro (infographics, photo)

The first line of Minsk metro was opened on June 30, 1984, from the station "Institute of Culture" to "Valhahradskaya" (now - Maskouskaya). The newest stations Hrushauka, Mikhalova and Pyatroushchyna were first planned to be opened back in September, but then the date was postponed till November 7. However, then it was decided to break the tradition and to open the new stations on November 6.

The station "Malinauka" is planned to be opened in September 2013. They also plan to build the station "Schomyslitsa" by September 2014.

In 2017 it is planned to start the first part of the third line, which will connect Zyalyony Luh with Kurasoushchyna in the perspective. It will consist of 7 stations at first.

There is also an idea to build the fourth line which will connect the current three. It will go from Bangalore Square to Chyzhouka through "Academy of Sciences" and "Tractor Plant".
