BT takes up new subject - American Embassy

Let us remind you, two previous reports of the kind were dedicated to the Belarusian Association of Journalists and the Polish Embassy.

On February 19, the Belarusian TV-men started with telling how the Americans watched over the citizens of Norway whom they considered suspicious, last year. Muslims got their attention in the first place.

After that, they told about the activisty of the U.S. Embassy in Minsk. They mostly repeated what they showed on TV back in 2008, when there was the Belarusian-American diplomatic conflict, nn.by notes. Ambassador Karen Stewart had to leave Belarus then.

Apart from that, the TV-men showed some apartment in Starazhouskaya Street, 8, which is near the Embassy. According to them, this was a conspiratorial apartment where the Embassy's guards had secret meetings. The BT claimed that the American Embassy had allegedly created even armed patrols, and that its guards watched the citizens and collected information. Belarusians Natallia Maksimovich and Aleh Vasilevich were named among the supervisors. However, there were no direct accusations of espionage in the report.
