BPF party to participate in parliamentary election
However, the party decided to keep the right to withdraw its candidates any time.
The decision on participation in the parliamentary election was taken at the party council's session which took place on January 28. BPF will withdraw its candidates in case there are still political prisoners in the country at the moment of early voting's start, or if representatives of the BPF are not included into the presinct election commissions, informs Radio Liberty.
According to the member of the council Jury Chavusau, a compromise suggestion was accepted as a result of the long-term and hot discussions. Adherents of boycott and of candidates' nomination have similar aims and it is necessary to look for the compromise, states Chavusau.
Let us remind you, the parliamentary election in Belarus is planned to take place in September. However, the Central Election Commission has not set a concrete date yet.
