Andres Herkel’s report called “stereotyped document” in Minsk
Press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Andrei Savinyh has commented on the report of the PACE rapporteur on Belarus.
According to him, the consideration of the document on Belarus in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe is an evident proof of PACE representatives’ politically biased and one-sided approach.
In Savinyh’s opinion, Herkel’s report was written on the basis of dubious materials and false accusations available on the Internet. The diplomat has noted that the author of the report “did not visit Belarus and did not apply for a Belarusian visa”.
Savinyh has also claimed that PACE did not even invite Belarusian MPs to join the discussion of the report. In his opinion, it is an evident proof of a politically biased and one-sided approach.
