Actions in support of Ales Byalyatski planned for today
Civil activists plan to conduct them despite prohibition.
Let us remind you, a series of solidarity pickets aimed at support of arrested human rights defender Ales Byalyatski were planned to be held today, on August 22. The activists planned to hold the pickets all over the country, but the local authorities prohibited that.
The leader of the human rights center "Viasna" has been in custody since August 4. He is accused of tax evasion. Byalyatski faces up to 7 years of imprisonment.
