Prosecutor's office declines comment on what caused German pilot's death near Minsk

A death certificate of German pilot Guenter Zimmer who crashed during an air show near Minsk has been issued to his relatives. Investigators from the Belarusian Military Prosecutor's Office and the German embassy also saw the certificate. The document mentions the cause of Zimmer's death, but the Belarusian Military Prosecutor's Office has declined to release the details until investigation is complete. Belapan reports that the German embassy declined to specify if the body of the killed pilot was cremated or sent back to Germany.

Guenter Zimmer crashed on August 8 at the Borovaya airstrip near Minsk during the CIS Helicopter Sports Open Cup when he performed the loop -- an aerobatics figure.
