Premiere of radio performance about Yanka Kupala to take place today
The first national channel of the Belarusian Radio is going to present a premiere of a radio performance “The Poet and the Girl” dated for the 125th anniversary of Yanka Kupala.
The first part of the performance will be presented to listeners on July 7 and the other part will be broadcasted on July 14.
According to the press service of the Belarusian State Broadcasting Company, the plot is based on the real love story of Yanka Kupala and Paulina Myadzyolka.
The scenario was written by a writer and literary critic Pyotr Vasiuchenka. This is a play about love that has always been a source of inspiration for poets and helped them create masterpieces.
In Paulina Vikentsieuna’s memoirs listeners will meet the great poet and will be able to look into his inner world and feel his emotional experience.
The music for the performance was composed by a national artist of Belarus Leanid Zahleuny.
