Preliminary agenda for Congress of Democratic Forces made public
On January 12, the Organizing Committee of the Congress of Democratic Forces adopted the provisional agenda of the Congress, BelaPAN reported via a former political prisoner Mikola Statkevich.
"We discussed the draft agenda of the Congress, it was accepted as a basis. In it, there are three main issues. The first concerns the status of the Belarusian state, the nation, the economy, society, and trends of their changes. The second issue involves the discussion of preservation and development of Belarus. The third one is about the current and strategic tasks of the democratic forces for the preservation and development of the country," said the politician.
A more detailed agenda will be formulated at the next meeting of the organizing committee of the Congress. It will take place in two weeks. The Congress will take place in the spring. The organizing committee of the event included Mikalai Statkevich, Uladzimir Nyaklyayeu, Stanislau Shushkevich, Zmitser Dashkevich, Viachaslau Siuchyk, Andrei Sannikau, Henadz Fyadynich, Mikhail Pastukhou. The organizing committee can be joined by other political forces.
