Political prisoner Uladzimir Kondrus will stand trial in Minsk's Maskouski District Court on November 16 at 10.30 a.m., the human rights website Viasna reports. Sviatlana Bandarenka will be the judge.
Kondrus, 39, is the last person detained for participation in the Square 2010 post-election protests. He is accused of mass riots. The man was arrested on June 14. Nasha Niva recognized him in a photo and mistook for an instigator. The man is jailed in Valadarski Street prison.
Kondrus’ sister and lawyer have been forbidden to report any details of the case. The man is on a hunger strike now. He has been refusing to eat for more than two months and his health condition has serioously deteriorated.
