The prisoner was ordered to start packing at 6 a.m. although the usual release time is 11 a.m. He was made to get in a police car at 7 a.m. and was delivered to Vitsebsk railway station. He received 20 thousand roubles to be able to reach his relatives’ place, Radio Liberty reports.

His case was rigged, Haidukou told Radio Liberty journalists by phone. It was a provocation aimed at his organization, he thinks.

Andrei Haidukou was detained by KGB and jailed on November 8, 2012. He was accused of collecting information for foreign intelligence. He was imprisoned for 1.5 years for ‘an attempt to cooperate with foreign special services or intelligence’ on July 1, 2013.
