Polish President hopes for real political thaw in Belarus

The Polish President Lech Kaczyński has characterised Belarus and expressed a hope that a real political thaw is being observed in our country now. He made the statement during a press conference that took place after a two-day summit of Presidents of the Visegrad Four. Kaczyński claimed that he had accidentally got to know about the visit of the Polish Foreign Minster to Belarus a day before the visit.

Let us remind you that the meeting of Foreign Ministers of Belarus and Poland – Syarhei Martynau and Radoslav Sikorski – took place in a state residence in Belavezha in Belarus on September 12. Sikorski stressed that the visit had been organized by both sides and approved by the EU administration. No details of the Belarusian-Polish negotiations have been made public.
