Gdynia County Court today ruled to release Belarus citizen Stsiapan Svidzerski, reports gdansk.naszemiasto.pl

Today's hearing was held behind closed doors after police officers in masks had brought the 30-year-old Belarusian for trial on charges of attempted murder. The prosecutor said she would appeal the ruling.

If found guilty, our compatriot could be sentenced to life in prison. Prosecutor Grarzyna Wałryniuk said the suspect had made two shots, including one hitting the victim, according to investigators. The prosecutor added that Svidzerski laid out his version of the events but at this stage no more details of the case will be published.

Svidzerski insists he did not break any laws.
