Police bust underground drug lab in Mahilyow region

The police arrested three Belarus citizens who ran an underground lab to produce phentonil.  The laboratory was based in one of the villages in the Cherikaw district. Special equipment, consumables, chemicals and reactives had been purchased beforehand in order to ensure uninterrupted production. One of the detainees has a university decree in chemistry, law-enforcement officials note.

During the raid, the police seized synthetic heroin, 200 kg of equipment and chemicals. The three men are now being held in custody in Minsk.
