Photo artist with “Friendship” saw at street action in Hrodna
An action in protest of extermination of trees in Old Town of Hrodna took place yesterday evening. Activists of the campaign “Let’s save Hrodna” marched along the central square with transparencies “I’m a tree - cut me down”.
Activists managed to conduct the action despite the counteractions of the police and KGB waiting for activists on the way to the central square of Hrodna.
As a result policemen wrote down the names of activists and detained a local photo artist Maxim Shved. He came to the action with a saw “Friendship” with the inscription “Tree+Hrodna=Friendship”.
The fact that an activist got detained did not stop young people who felt brave enough to march with transparencies along the central street of Hrodna.
