An OSCE/ODIHR election assessment mission will work in Belarus on July 15–17.

The mission members will meet representatives of the state authorities and civil society, main political parties, mass media, NGOs and possible presidential candidates. The mission is planning to meet the administration of the Central Election Commission on July 15, BELTA reports.

The mission report will be published in three weeks.

The mission’s goal is to assess the pre-election atmosphere and preparation for the election. On this basis, the mission will decide whether the OSCE/ODIHR should observe the election and how to monitor it.
