Orange coalition created in Ukrainian Parliament
An orange coalition has been created in the Ukrainian Parliament – it consists of the westernized Yulia Tsimoshenko’s Block and Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense.
228 deputies voted for the creation of the coalition out of 450. The main obstacle for the creation of the coalition was the refusal of representatives of NU-NS including the head of the President’s Office Victor Baloha and a secretary of the Security and Defense Council Ivan Plyushch.
According to analysts, politicians are worried by the fact that Yulia Tsimoshebko has been appointed Prime Minister and her possible competition with Victor Yushchenko during the next presidential election.
