Oppositionists get fined for National Belarusian Congress

Belarusian opposition activists stood trials in Minsk on June2. Vyachaslau Siuchyk was fined for Br10.5 million (50 base amounts) for participation in the National Belarusian Congress, BelaPAN reports. He stood trial in Minsk Central District Court.

 

Uladzimir Yaromenak got the biggest fine. Ex-political prisoner Mikalai Autuhovich will stand trial for participating in the National Belarusian Congress on June 7.

Activists of the organizations Ecological Search and Price of Life stood trials in Minsk Partyzanski District Court on June 2. They were accused of participation in the action in support of animals held near the Belarusian State Circus on April 17. Activists Yana Karalyova, Artsyom Karalyou, Maksimilian Boichanka, Pavel Syarhei, Darya Tyletskaya, Yury Puchyla, and Vyachaslau Kasinerau were fined for Br3.13 million – Br6.3 million (15-30 base amounts).
