Opposition party evicted from offices

The Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada) is to leave its main office in Minsk that has been rented since 2006. This court decision endangers the existence of the party, because it will be closed down if it has no legal address, under the Belarus laws. The Belorusskaya Delovaya Gazeta newspaper reports that the party must leave the office spaces by October 15. Party chairman Anatol Liaukovich complains it will not be easy to find a new legal address in the capital city or even regional centers.
