Opposition chooses presidential candidate in Georgia
The single candidate of the United opposition in Georgia is Levan Gachecheladze. The news agency RIA “Novosti” has informed about it. No details have been reported.
It is known that Gachichiladze is a deputy of the Parliament. He went on a termless hunger strike and was beaten by special police troops after the recent mass actions of the opposition in Tbilisi.
He addressed the Georgian President Mihail Saakashvili with the help of “Imedzi” TV company and said: “I have been beaten twice but now it’s my turn to beat you”.
